Bucharest, September 21, 2026 – FintechOS, a GapMinder portfolio company and the AI-native platform for Unified Product Operations serving banks, insurers and other financial services companies across the United States and Europe, has secured $28 million in combined equity and debt financing. The equity investment comes from existing shareholders Bek Ventures, IFC, Cipio Partners and Molten Ventures, alongside a senior debt facility provided by Santander CIB.

The new financing will support the company’s next stage of growth, with a particular focus on expanding its presence in the United States, deepening its European client portfolio and scaling the delivery practice behind its AI-native platform. The round follows a strong first half of 2026, during which FintechOS reached profitability while increasing recurring revenue by 40% year-on-year. Operational EBITDA improved by more than 102% year-on-year, while the U.S. business grew by 130% over the same period.

Founded in Romania in 2017 by Teodor Blidăruș and Sergiu Neguț, FintechOS has built a financial product operations platform designed to help banks, insurers and other financial institutions launch, manage and evolve financial products without undergoing complex and costly replacements of their core infrastructure. The company operates from London, New York and Bucharest and serves financial institutions across the U.S. and Europe.

“FintechOS has reached an important inflection point: combining profitability with renewed high growth and a rapidly expanding U.S. presence. We have supported Teo, Sergiu and the team since the early stages of the company, and it is exciting to see a Romanian-founded technology business evolve into a global financial infrastructure player. The next phase is about translating that strong foundation into further international scale, particularly in the U.S. market.”
Dan Mihaescu, Partner at GapMinder VC

FintechOS’ platform is built around Unified Product Operations, an approach that brings the entire lifecycle of a financial product — from design and launch to pricing, origination and servicing — into a single operational flow. By creating a unified layer above existing banking and insurance systems, FintechOS enables financial institutions to introduce new products and modernize operations without undertaking complex replacements of their core infrastructure.

The latest generation of the platform, FintechOS 8, combines product operations with an AI-native approach. Through Dex, FintechOS’ AI copilot, non-technical users can directly configure financial products and offers, while the broader platform supports governed AI execution across financial product operations. FintechOS expects 2026 to be a record year for new customers, with more than 20 new financial institutions worldwide expected to adopt FintechOS 8.

The United States has become FintechOS’ fastest-growing market, recording 130% year-on-year growth. The company is now targeting more than 200% year-on-year growth in the U.S. over the next twelve months and is strengthening its U.S. leadership, including through the appointment of new Board Directors and a new Chairman to support its expansion strategy and partnerships in the region.

FintechOS’ growing U.S. customer base includes ESL Federal Credit Union, Vibrant Credit Union, Hanscom Federal Credit Union, Farmers Bank of Willards and MHG Insurance. Its strategic partnership with Finxact, part of Fiserv, builds on its existing relationship with Finastra Phoenix, giving the company access to a broader pool of banks and credit unions as it expands across the market.

At the same time, FintechOS continues to consolidate its presence across European banking and insurance. Its customer and partner base includes major financial institutions such as BRD Groupe Société Générale, Admiral, CEC Bank, Howden, Bankinter and Groupama, alongside new customers in the UK.

“Growth and profitability go hand in hand, not at the expense of one another,” says Teo Blidăruș, Founder and CEO of FintechOS.

As part of its next phase of growth, FintechOS is also introducing a new forward-deployed delivery model, built around agile client-facing teams. Each pod brings together a forward-deployed technical consultant and engineer who work directly with financial institutions’ product teams to configure and launch products on FintechOS faster. The approach is designed to improve operational efficiency, reduce time to market for new financial products and lower total cost of ownership for customers.

The new model represents a shift away from traditional, more distant technology implementation projects. By combining AI-native product configuration with teams working closely alongside customers, FintechOS aims to translate the speed of its technology into faster deployment and measurable operational improvements for financial institutions.

“Reaching profitability was not an accident, it was the outcome of a deliberate, multi-year effort to get our cost base, our margins and our delivery practice right before we pushed harder on growth again,” says Cyril Desouza, CFO of FintechOS.

The $28 million financing will support this next stage as FintechOS scales its U.S. operations, strengthens its European business and continues developing its AI-native platform and delivery model for banks, insurers and other financial institutions.
